Cary Wolinsky’s work is now showing in “More Back Forty” at Art Complex Museum in Duxbury.
Cary is the co-host of the irreverent photo tips site PixBoomBa.
Here is the latest PixBoomBa photo tip.
When National Geographic magazine asked Cary to dream up an illustration for an article about cranberries, it got him thinking about how his vision of this tart, little fruit has changed from his youth. Now, he lives in a place where he can watch the cranberry harvest every fall and see huge boxes of dripping red berries being air lifted out of the bogs. But growing up in western Pennsylvania, his fondest memories of cranberries was of that stiff, jellied sauce that slithered out of a can, plopped on a plate, and just dared him to slice it. That’s the cranberry he portrayed. Enjoy.
